Fingal Island is one of the closer islands to Nelson Bay where you will find drop offs, pinnacles and magnificent sponge gardens.
During winter and spring we dive Government Wharf, which collapsed into the ocean after the lighthouse was built. Here you will struggle to see sand between the mating Port Jackson sharks that cover the ocean floor. A sight to be seen! The Pinnacle, as the name suggests, is a large pinnacle that takes you down to 35 meters. During summer you are sure to see some large pelagic circling looking for a feed.
