Agincourt Reef consists out of four smaller reefs, separated by swift channels, lying at the south end of the Ribbon Reef system. It's a big reef with a size of approximate 10 by 5 kilometers and very common by tour operators from Cairns and Port Douglas. Agincourt Reef has its own weather station, helicopter landing platform, pontoon for divers and an underwater observatory. So if you don't want to get wet but do want to see the underwater world, this is the reef where it can. Although excellent underwater visibilities, stunning coral formations and plenty of fish, it can be crowded at times making you wonder whether tourism shouldn't be controlled more.
