Best dive-season / How to get there: It can be dived all year round but is condition dependant. Terrigal Haven boat ramp is the closest ramp in the area. Several local dive shops run dives to the wreck. A permit from Central Coast Tourism is required to dive the wreck. The HMAS Adelaide is a former Australian naval warship measuring 138m long that was purposely sunk on April 13, 2011 to create an artificial dive reef. Located approximately 1.8km off Avoca Beach near Terrigal on the Central Coast of New South Wales, she sits upright in approx 32 meters of water. Some of the wreck has been closed up but dive access holes are strategically placed throughout the vessel to allow easy access to explore key features. A wide range of marine life big and small can be seen here from residential to pelagic.
