As its name West End implies this site is to be found on the most Western tip of Rottnest Island. One of the great things about diving here is that there is a chance that you could see anything, absolutely anything from a whale to a shark or turtle. This really is the wild west.
Diving here is not for the faint hearted with big swells and currents at most times of the year and in most weather conditions. Even underwater the surge can be very strong. Be careful of boats and of getting swept away from your own vessel. The better the weather conditions, the better the diving conditions, the swell is probably the main thing to try and avoid here.
