Fifteen vessels have been sunk on the landward side of Moreton Island to form a break-wall for small boats. These are the Tangalooma Wrecks, which provide good scuba diving in depths from 2 to 10 meters. Named dive sites such as the Graveyard and the Tangalooma Jetty are popular by divers as well as snorkelers as some boats are partly submerged and partly out in the open. Be carefull of loose debris. Even in this shallow water, the wrecks are fun to dive and attract an amazing amount of marine life, including wobbegongs, trevally, kingfish, yellowtail and lots of tropical fish.

On the bayside of Moreton Island there are 15 shipwrecks called the Tangalooma Wrecks. These vessels have been deliberately sunk to provide shelter for small boats. Although relatively shallow with depths from 2 up to 10 meters, this still is an interesting site. The wrecks attract a large amount of fish and other marine life such as Wobbegongs, Kingfish and lots of other tropical fish.
