Skeleton Rock is a great shore dive known for its huge southern eagle rays and several grey nurse sharks living in a nearby cavern.

Skeleton Rock is the most popular shore dive in the Seal Rocks area. It's about a 250 meter swim from shore, which sounds rather tiring, but trust me it's worth it! You can see just about anything on this dive. There is a small population of Grey Nurse Sharks living in the cavern situated off the Northern end of the rock. Another spectacular attraction to this dive site are the GIANT Southern Eagle Rays (Bull Rays). It's not uncommon to see these beautiful creatures in lengths of around 4 meters or so. It's an unbelievable experience. Other things you will be just about guaranteed to see include, Moray eels, Scarlet Mowong (otherwise known as Dancing Fish) Loggerhead Turtles sleep in every undercut and crevice. You can find tons of rock dwelling fish and small crustaceans living amongst the kelp, as well as Blue Groper and Wobbygong Sharks by the hundreds.
