Best dive-season / How to get there: Good to dive anytime the conditions are calm as it is exposed to the ocean. Catherine Hill Bay is a small town in NSW located between Sydney and Newcastle. Park at the surf club and gear up. Unfortunately it is a long walk along the beach, under the jetty and to the far corner of the little beach. There you will find a trench in the rocks.

Fin out to the end of this trench and descend. Follow the rock shelf north. You will come across an single old chain from the jetty and after that there will be three chains clumped together, follow these chains west and you will find the jetty. Follow the jetty to shore. On very calm days you can make a surf exit by heading in a north/west direction once you get to about 3m deep. You are likely to see wobbiegongs, bull and eagle rays and a varity of fish. During winter it is possible to hear humpback whales as they pass by.
