Best dive-season / How to get there: The only island at the entry to the South Passage some 300m offshore from Steep Point itself. Dive site is to the north, ranging from 6m to 30m.A quick motor around with an echo sounder will locate either low coral broken bottom or walls of coral, descending of the depth and the further out to sea you go. At Monkey Rock you can expect to see whale sharks, large cod & grouper and a variety of smaller tropical reef fish. If you are lucky you will see mackerel, whale sharks and various tuna.
