Mutton Bird Island is a comfortable shore dive either from beach if you have 4wd or if not it is a 100m walk down a hill from the car park with your equipment. It is an easy entry from sandy beach. The large island in front of the beach is Shelter Island and Mutton Bird island is around to the left of the beach. This is a good shore dive for newly qualified divers and is quite a good night dive. It can be reached by driving along Lower Denmark road between Albany and Denmark, turning shoreward and following the signs after about 15 kilometers.
