Best dive-season / How to get there: Possible to dive all year round but is tide dependant. Also possible to do several drift dives with the incoming and outgoing tides. Contact the local dive shop for dive times. Swansea is located on the NSW coast south of Newcastle. There is plenty of parking at the RSL (which is also a great place for lunch). There is also a dive shop close by.

Best way to get the longest dive time is to enter the water at Black Neds Bay just near the breakwall, go through the entrance and out into the channel, catching the last of the incoming tide and drifting down towards the bridge. Dive following the south bound brigde north until you feel the tide just start to change and then follow the north bound bridge south until you get back to the wall and then drift with the out going tide back to the entrance of Black Neds Bay. It is possible to see almost anything at this dive site. It has the biggest variety of fish life in the whole area.
