Diving at Kelso Reef at dive site The Wall

Visibility: 10-30m (32-98ft)
Accessibility: Boat
Time to visit: All year around with warmest water in summer (nov-feb)
Specifications: Diving next to a huge vertical wall of coral.The strong current makes this a perfect drift dive.This dive has a lot of marine life.This dive site is also perfect for snorkeling.

The Wall starts at about 2 meters of depth continuing all the way down to 25 meters. Fish and coral life gradually drops off below 15 meters.

From Townsville and Magnetic Island, Kelso reef is one of the best known and frequently visited reefs. It has crystal clear waters and many different species of coral and fish. Hard and soft corals such as brain coral, hedge corals, honeycomb corals and plate corals. Fish from the small angel fish to the huge cod, but also crown-of-thorns starfish and giant clams can be seen on a normal dive.
